Leadership
Jenny Klein
Co-Founder, President
Volunteering at a free clinic opened my eyes to the urgent need for accessible resources that support heart health and disease prevention through lifestyle. When I shared this with Rachel, she sparked the idea of addressing it through a cookbook—an idea I then brought to life by leading its production.

After hearing about Jenny's volunteer work, I started thinking—what if evidence-based nutrition did not just live in a textbook or clinic handout? What if it could be something practical, even inviting? A cookbook felt like the most useful way to make nutrition stick—rooted in both heart and science.
A Team Effort
We’re deeply grateful to the many students who made this project possible. For the full list of contributors, see the Contributions page in the cookbook.
Our Mascot: The hen
We chose the hen as our mascot because she quietly represents the strength of connection. Living in flocks, hens form strong social bonds and rely on one another for cues about safety and food—often moving and responding as a group. This makes the hen a subtle symbol of community, mutual awareness, and interdependence. Just as hens care for one another within their flock, our health is shaped by the care we give and receive within our communities.
